KLOVER MiK 09 LED parabolic microphone on video camera (2048x2560)

KM 09 LED 1We are excited to release our new “KLOVER MiK 09 Accessory Bracket” this week at NAB 2016.  This bracket allows two shoe mount accessories to be attached to the base of the KLOVER MiK 09 parabolic microphone.

There are always multiple things that an operator would like to mount to his camera and we have been looking for solutions to this problem for quite a long time as mounting our 9-inch parabolic on top of the camera is ideal but it takes up the shoe mount.  One of the items that is often mounted on top of the camera is an LED light so we had considered constructing a version of our small parabolic with a set of LED elements embedded into the outside frame.  Then we discovered a very unique LED light at CES that was small enough to work in concert with the parabolic and provide a great amount of light in a very small package.

Why would you use a small parabolic mic instead of a wireless lapel mic?
When faced with the task of recording an interview, most people will turn to a lapel (lavaliere) microphone for capturing the audio. The small microphones are seen every day on television, and they are often used without our seeing them.
